Who made me wonder..”
I listened to the lyrics of this epic song titled Remember Me by Ivan Torrent and this portion always stuck out to me. Who was Lady Dark? So I decided to draw her and she turned out beautifully. I even made a backstory for her!
Backstory:
There was once a beautiful young girl by the name of Maria with hair that matched the midnight sky and eyes so blue, they pierced the soul. Maria knew the evils and horrors of the world, but love and kindness was taught to her through and through…until one fateful day.
On her 24th year, she had met a young man and the pair fell in love, with the promise to marry, but her father grew ill and sadly passed away. Her lover too fell ill and not wanting to lose another loved one, she met with an Eldritch being to aid her…
“If I do this task you seek of me…you must offer that which is most precious to you.”
Maria knew that her soul was the most precious but her love for her future husband out powered her senses.
“I do.”
With those words, Maria’s soul was corrupted by the darkness of the world; forever changing her into Lady Dark. Her lover’s life was saved and he sought for her…only to come across a woman shrouded in eternal shadow.
