I really like how the red bird and the bird that is turning red (turning red - that was my first thought; motion is hard to pait and you did it so well, it was my first though) face right, while all the other birds face left. Also, while most of the birds seem to be starring lifelessly into one direction (west), the red bird and especially the bird turning red (with it's open beak) seem much more alive. The ratio of white vs black is just right, too. All in all, a great composition!
