when I browsed your blog, I stumbled over this painting. it is very special and beautiful, not only the way you've painted it (I like your style anyway, no other reason to browse through your blog and gallery) but it also seems to have a deeper meaning and I immediately tried to imagine stories behind it. very good illustration.

the expression is what i love about it - something many try to capture when taking a portrait. it's weird. for me, as a photographer, moments like these happen in a split of a second, when your subject's mind fades away. seeing it in a painting like that, which is created by hand over a period of time, step by step that still achieves that sense of a moment being captured is something i find very fascinating.
