Description S u p r e s s i o n, C o n s t r i c t i o n and P e r s e c u t i o n. Have you ever have the feeling of something, someone, somewhere that just hangs over your head, supressing you, constrcting you, persecuting you?
This photo cut to my heart. The conceptual value of it, to me is probably one of the most signifigant pieces I've done so far.

Please, I'd love to hear your interpretation of it. So let loose.

I'd like to thank =artistech once again for having such a sharp creative eye.

Licky? I dunno. lol.......it seems to be the case more often than not....just being in the right place at the right time, seeing the righht thing in the right light at the right angle, and pushing the button at the most perfect time. Luck? Some may say.

resuming: the way u got this shot is amazing...
makes me remember a fractal design...
the lines are meeting and goin up and down and the result is this incredible piece.
the fractal part was a trip of my mind...
the colors add more drama to the image(very nice)
the heart is beating...
Cya!

There are so many elements to this that it astonishes me. There is the obvious heart; the pair of ominous, symbolic horns; the striking cobra; the face-on head-and-shoulders portrait of some unsavory character with either a goatee or a mask; the comic-book villain at the very top center; tweety-bird's granny; the sweeping, mirrored clouds; the blurred, indistinct scene in the background which could be interpreted as a hazy view into the future; and on, and on, and on.

I could (and have) stared at this for a very long time, and continue to see more and more within it. This is a masterful work, my friend.

And thanks to you for your awesome creative suggestions.

As purely technical critique, the image seems slightly oversharpened - the thinner wires have halos. I'd personally also have cloned out the vertical bit of fluff/hair hanging near the side. Obviously there's no point listing all the good things about this, you're already well aware of them. Very striking work

Just to clarify - i'd remove the vertical hair/cobweb thing because it breaks up the curved lines that otherwise lead the eye around the image.

I really hope with this photo that people take their time to look at it like you did. I was staring at it thw whole time while editing it..and kept pulling little things here and there out of it. For me it's a very deep piece.

I love how it all fits togther, I intrepret it along the same lines as you, this powerful emotion that just takes over your every thought and action.Powerful loving it,

Stunning... very well done technically... But the higher meaning is a much more personal subject... I see feeling flowing throughtout, the razor cutting right in the middle and encapsolating the whole piece in the background, slightly blurred...lurking...allowing no escape, when the time comes... Its really deep and I can actually feel the emotion...it definitely touches the soul

...thanks for sharing

MyPrivateParty In reply to LanceUSA [2005-08-30 04:07:26 +0000 UTC]

I like your interpretation. Pretty spot on. It was an emotion and feeling I took from that eveining when the cop harassed me. It's a culmination of many things, but mostly the city. This is my tribute to the supression that cities can have...this is how i feel about the city.....and it goes further than that..but yeah....you get the idea.

Always look foward to your comments. This is by far one of the most meaningful photos I've done IMO, so far.

Take care.
J

it gives me a strong feeling of constriction..like something you love holding on so tight you wish it would stop..like you cant escape it (much like love is)
like youd do anything for it, though at times it chokes you (much like the wires)

it gives a very powerful feeling

but i agree with DexterousDamsel.. i wish it were brighter

Hmmm, it's exaclty the feeling I was going for, supression, or constriction. the darker background worked out well for this photo i think, adding to the meaning and concept.

Thanks for the comments. Much apreciated.

indeed...I always LOVe it when you can take a photo (especially conceptual) and have it come out as such that others can view it and see a similar thing that you do. I think Concepual is one of the hardest genre's and most meaningful genres to master....I love it.

I like it the way it is. This picture was taken during a sunset or a sunrise which usually puts a romantic fell in some people but it also coinicides with the heart. The barbed wire can tear that heart in 2, can make it a bloody pulp. Sorta like 'I love you but it hurts' or 'I love you but its killing me', ya ken??
Or maybe I'm just talking out my @$$,
