What a beautiful, sensitive, portrait, my friend. Your daughter is beautiful, yes...but what you've capture here is a wonderful sense of sensitivity and intelligence and grace, combined with that slight bit of wariness that kids often have around grownups. It's perfect.

This is one great portrait and I love reading all the comments about Laurie. She was a beautiful little girl. I know I was in love with her when I was seventeen. I have to disagree, however, with your comment that she is prettier than you. If I could only post a few photos of you when you were say nine, ten, thirteen, seventeen. My goodness, you were gorgeous, though perhaps you didn't know it at the time.

Thanks. You are right. I didn't know it and still don't. There was a period of about 10 years when I felt I looked great. LOL Now I'm constantly aware of the need for more weight loss. sigh..... But that doesn't keep me from enjoying donuts and such things.
