Okay, I first asked my husband and looked at me, astonished I'd not heard of him. lol Then gave me a brief synopsis of his music and history... after that googled and got a fuller picture. now i just need to download a few tunes. (paul bley)

I bet you two will like him, we just bought Paul's album (cd) Right time, Right Place with Gary Burton. I remember first hearing Paul play an old out of tune & dilapidated piano at Ginsberg's Committee on Poetry up in Cherry Valley, NY sometime around 1988. It was pure magic in a room of maybe 15-20 people Let me know what you think, thumbs up to yr husband!

Totally. It's a strange thing but I should probably live in Europe... to be on schedule with the rest of life.

I can't imagine any reason not to live in Europe, the beauty & culture vibrates in the very air! Perhaps we all should move there? If your Husband sails we can use my boat!

LOL, it would be fun to live there for a while. I believe I will in the next couple years sometime.
My husband can sail... small boats...not big ones.

really small... lol He grew up on a relatively small lake (not a Great Lake) and so he does sail and all that water stuff, but hasn't had any experience with larger craft.

uh..yep...unless you have a good crew besides us. I get such exhileration on a sail boat. Deep waters scare me but the silent boat skimming the waves moves me out of my body and I forget my fear.

good idea. But when I can I like to support the artist. Jazz players make so little money next to pop people!
generally I simply download tunes and get the ones I like best, though. With jazz it's hard to tell with the small sample you get to listen to.

I agree, however it's just that sometimes , you can only find the obscure & very rare recordings on ebay.

"this really shows how technical imperfection can add life to an image..."
Exactly! and the light is so mysterious in this image, it's outstanding!

Yes, it'sinteresting, isn't it. Being technically perfect can render amazing and beautiful images but it's not necessary to create something we call art.

Unbelieably I hand held it! There was ambient light from street lamps and a glow in the sky from the city.

Thanks. I do lean and hold my arm against another tree or stationary object. That helps.
