Description Today my husband played Taps.

These men are part of a group called Patriot Guardians. They mostly ride motorcycles and will come for any Military related event to stand as a kind of Honor Guard.

Great shot! I think that it's so powerful because it brings mixed feelings - joy, that we remember and commemorate and sadness, because we commemorate those, who aren't with us. It is what makes us wonder about the sense of life, war etc. And that makes it a good piece of art. Anyway, good job.

Thank you for the very wonderful comment. It is so true.. we are happy that those we've lost are remembered but sad that they are not here.

Thanks. I love to hear it. Maybe one day we'll be in OC or Long Beach to do one. Occasionally we stop at a random cemetery and find a veteran's grave and he plays taps. And occasionally there is someone in the cemetery who stands and salutes.

The scene was very moving... Taps and all these veterans holding American flags. It certainly brought tears to my eyes.

thank you for seeing it. Some people here on dA are stupid and I've actually had nasty remarks about this kind of thing before.
