Ansel Adams would be proud ^_^ I think we just look for something that we find pleasing, or even intrigueing, and then try to capture it onto film. I like how the picture is stacked from bottom to top, very nice ^^

What I love about this shot is I feel like I am standing there with you. There is so much texture to the ground especially to the right of your shadow and then the awesome cure of the lamp post, very cool. I guess I don't worry too much about why I photograph things, I know it appealed to me at that moment and given a different frame of mind over time it may not appeal to me again but for its moment it had relevance. I don't think we ever see anything the same way twice, time and experiences aways change our views. So for this shot the photograph definately knew what she was doing and did it extremely well!! Nice shot

I agree with you, that I don't really know why I photograph something. Usually it just catches my eye and I have to. I take so many pictures and few make it onto dA. Which is another interesting aspect. Sometimes I'll have an image for months or even years and then suddenly I love it and have to put it up when I've gone past it many times.
