Description I visited NYC during the week before 9-11-01 and took this photo. Reflected in the building is the WTC.

I thought so too. I always liked the shot which I took because I was too close to the WTC for it to look like anything special... so turned the other direction and got this. I am pleased to have it.

lol nice principle: if you can't take a good photo of a subject, turn the other way!

the last thing i would describe myself as is someone who has "normal" feelings about 9-11, lets just leave it at that.

nonetheless this image is powerful, even if the buildings hadn't fallen.

critically speaking, did you think about cropping to cut out the reflections of the sky? I can kind of see some interprative meaning behind them, and they also act as a respite from the strong repetitive pattern going on so I can see it going either way.

I've no idea what a "normal" feeling about 9-11 would be. There must be milions of different feelings and all are valid in some way. There is something about life being so fragile and impermanent for any of us that is most striking. I'm not particularly religiousin the usual sense but I do believe man is basically spiritual (in a more Asian religious sense) and mostly I feel sad for those left behind, those who are lonesome and shocked still.
