thanks so much. It was tricky getting the shot(s) because I was not part of the press group.... Had to sneak in up close to the stage.

I love "Forget Regret" from his album. His minimalist licks are like sweet nothings. Then again so were Davis'.
Nice image. Black and white always suits jazz well.

Very good stage picture! Like the expression and focus (talking about the musician's)!
Listenning to Coltrane - I know, not the same instrument but I was in the mood for such a shot!

It was one of those performances where the musicians love it as much or more than the audience. They were lovin' the communication.

This one is free and it's in a small area with about 7 stages. The venue is great and it was amazingly good. I had a great time, lots of people, food, drinks and music. My husband played in it.

He was very young when Miles took him under his wing. The great thing about him is that he has his own style and not just a Miles clone... wannabee.

Fine shot, Myrna. The contrast with the musician in the background really sets it off.

The musicians were all listening to one another.. really paying attention. It was amazing. If you don't do that in jazz, it's dead.
