Gorguous portrait. First thing my eye felt on was the beautiful matching of the color of her skin and the background. That placement of the mic and that flower brings an exellent composition.
And I love how you can see that she is singing with all her emotions there.

I would certainly give it a try. Has your old man got one lying around the house? He's probably got a buddy who has one....it's a jazzy sort of thing isn't it? You would need to photograph it in approximately the same lighting conditions from approx the same distance. To find one from stock would be really really lucky!
