great scene love those stark telephone poles scattered about. They seem like the grave stones of a once great forest eroded by desertification.

Wonderfully desolate....For even in the harshest dessert, one can find beauty. We need only to look. This could be anywhere here in Wyoming as well.....

It could have even been Wyoming because I did go through on Hwy 80

I find it so interesting and I love being in the car without with the cell phones off and no internet and nothing to do but be together.

No, it's digital and the only thing done was to convert to BW via channel mixer and adjust the contrast a bit.

There's something so freeing about the open road. You have nothing but yourself, in a way.
Great title, I love Jack Kerouac. I once got to see the 120 ft scroll on which he wrote "One the Road" in person. It had all the actual names of the people he wrote about. Very cool.

yes, yes, jack kerouac. i saw a very silly episode of quantum leap in which they presented jack as a character! funny. nice tone. old tone. past remembered in the present.

˝...I think of Dean Moriarty.˝
Ideal for trying out your vocal chords against all that beautiful open space.

I have a hard time imagining you bored.
I have an easy time imagining you loving the solitude of open spaces.

You have me pegged. I am never bored because I am content to create my own interests. Thanks for 'getting me'.

I remember driving up the Grapevine always a very boring drive too, this makes for a nice photo though.

Those kinds of places can be visually boring in a 'moving picture' sort of way but one shot of just the right location and sky can be wonderful.
