Reminds me of this show I saw about hummingbird and their different evolutionary paths due to area and food supply.

Lol I just watched cuz I like hummingbirds (did the same when I was little with seahorses lol) but it was interesting. Like there are two sets of humming birds on, I think, the Galapagos Islands that have two different beak shapes. One is on one side of the island and the other on the opposite side and, if I remember correctly, it's all the males have one shape and the females have another since they drink from two different type of plants with vastly different flower shapes.

That is so neat.
Reminds me of how only female mosquito's are vampiric and bite animals.
But both males and females drink nectar from plants and fruit.

Very beautiful! I remember seeing a segment in an Attenborough documentary and he was saying the males have a harder time flying because of those two big tail feathers. But the ladies like it...

Yeah its thought picky female birds direct the evolution of pretty looks over comfort for males. Lol/ I feel bad for male birds really.

Thank you!~ They're my favorite of the hummingbirds. Sadly their populations and habitat is very small.
