Description
Yeah well, I got bored, and decided to do something completely different. Why a pgi and why a pig with wings? Don't ask me.Related content

An agent is a good idea if it's needed. I know what you mean about hating that side of things, though.

i dunno, he looks a little hefty to get airborne
how big is he?
the face is adorable, a little silly and a little wise. and i love the formal costume. not sure how you decided on it, but hey. it has a lttle bit of a wright brothers look. did you make the clothes and then fit them too him, or are they sewn right on? that shirt is just so well done. he needs a little tweed cap though

Um, I think he was about 9 inches or so. I pretty much make the clothes and then sew as much of them as I can while they are off of them, then do the last bit of sewing while they are on to make sure they fit well. Wish I had thought of the tweed cap. Dang!

nine inches?! wow. i think that makes your detail even more impressive for some reason i was guessing around 16.

I've never worked quite that big before. Normally I work in the 6-14 inch size, but it all depeneds on the subject matter. My newest ones are tree spirits and are about 13-14 inches tall. I prefer bigger for my eyes sake, but love the smaller for the smaller material bill. hehe

that makes sense to me. i'm just not good at tiny
i tried to scale my dolls back to 12 so i could afford the fabirc for a geisha.
over a month later i have a still naked doll because i can't get the gatherin fine enough
so i'll have to perfect big before i can shrink to the professional level!

Well you work in fabric right? I don't think I could do small in that either. It's tough enough doing it in clay. It's hard enough just doing small costumes!

This is so cool, and really adorbale. So did you sculpt the pig and then sew little clothes for him, or did you take the clothes from a doll of the same size? And what did you use to make the pig?
Again, great sculpture!

Thanks! I make pretty much everything myself. About the only thing I don't make are the bases, I buy them premade, but unfinished. The clothes were tailor made for him after sculpting, and he has a soft body as well so he is posable. He's also made out of super sculpey, and his wings are made from Aves Apoxe Sculpt.

That is very, very amusing - and also a very good sculpture. I'm not sure if I'd have it on my mantlepeice - but that's not to say that it's not of high quality. (My mantlepeice is only about an inch wide) - very impressive. I'm glad you got a DD for this.

Ah thanks, I doubt I would have it on my mantle either, but mostly because I never get a chance to keep any of my own stuff. 👍: 0 ⏩: 0

That is very cool looking. Definitely would draw people's attention if it were on a table or such. Personally I think it'd look better without the wings. What did you use to model it?

As in sculpting material? I used Super Sculpey and the wings are made out of Aves Apoxie Sculpt. The wings were removable though. Thanks for the comment!
