Thats very cool. I love the detail and texture, simply is amazing. I also find it funny he's in the "bind pose" of 3d animation.
Why pig's on th wing? I'm going to guess it's one of Water's cycles. Pig's bring oppression, dogs kill under oath, the sheep find out th government sucks, revolution! and the process starts over again. The two songs probably just speak of a happy ending, yet a new pig is brought into higher office, and until they find out that their system of government sucks, the cycle will continue.
It may also have something to do with the phrase "when pig's fly"

This is a wonderful piece that represents a line heard all too often in our house and the previous generations. When asking when something will happen or when one might be old enough to do something the answer has been "when pigs fly". His wee suit is very handsome and I like this much better than the china pig that hangs on my wall with its stiff china wings. Great job!

Reminds me of the Orwellian Tribute by Pink Floyd called "Animals", "Pigs on the Wing Pts. I and II" is what it is like, just incredible!

Um, hours wise I have no idea, but it took me about 3 days give or take. I never keep tabs on how long I work on each peice, because I am working constantly as long as I'm awake, and switch off from oneproject to another. I generally sculpt from the time I wake up till I lay back down again. I'm kinda obsessive like that.

Thanks! Oh all kinds of materials, but his head and feet were all made from Super Sculpey, and his body is soft sculpure over a wire armature so he's posable. His wings are made from Aves Apoxie Sculpt mainly becuase it is much more durable than the polymer clay.
