WARNING: BIG IMAGE!well... my new, more detailed Dragon-tutorial that will have two or maybe three parts
First part: Basics of drawing a dragon
Second part: Coloring a dragon Myth's way
Third (if I do so) part: how to create very weird looking dragons
I was working on this piece for days... and it were about 8 hours I think.. maybe more.

oooO!!!! nice! i have to agree with the wing thing. big wings are important, and not just that, but make sure the bone lengths are correct. if you make one part too long it won't be able to support the weight. X( and then draggy won't be able to fly!! ACK!!!!!!!!!!

thanks very much, i'm writting a comic strip about a dragon space marine and vampire. your drawing technique has been useful and for that i thank thee. i love the shoulders by the way, ts good to finally see someone who realizes and respects the actual size of the muscles required to push down on so much air to lift so much weight.

but really you should try it, streach your arms out and push down with your arms and shoulders in the motion a dragon would. after about 20 flaps it really starts to kills, now imagine it if you had to push down on air to lift your own body weight and you begin to get an idea of why dragons have such massive shoulders.

GLEE. YOU MADE DRAGONS WITH LARGE WINGS. The only time dragons are allowed to have tiny wings in my book is if they can't fly--vestigal wings, like the vestigal legs on whales. [/nerdynerdynerd]
Although I must say your dragons seem more snake-like then dinosaur-like. BUT minor nitpick. I approve of this, and love how you point out the anatomy bits.

The only thing I struggle with is the snout and the claws.
Curse those claws. Ever since I was little those darned claws always crippled my drawings. ;0;
And I can never seem to make a 'unique' snout besides the default 'red dragon' look.

Excelent tutorial, and english for a person learning english for the first time. I'm looking through your tutorials so that when I start drawing dragons, I'll be drawing them right. I'm trying to balance out paintball and art (I know, very odd combo.) and this is really helping me. I haven't drawn in a looong time. Keep it up!!
