This is a statue I made of Link in Minecraft. The sprite I used here was made by . Credits for the design of this statue go to her.Link + Legend of Zelda belong to Nintendo

EDIT: Interesting note: this was built on a server, and the sign you can see below Link was left by one of my friends when he saw it. It reads "HOLY F***ING SH** THIS IS INSANE"

It just takes practice, that's all. I did numerous statues before attempting this one. I just had to work my way up from 8-bit Mario sprites to this.

This is pixel art, which are 2d statues of various things. Building something 3d on Minecraft takes at LEAST 4 or 5 times as much time as this, if not more, and this took over 3 1/2 hours anyways (if I built it with my experience now, it wouldn't take as long, but still quite a while). I'm not saying 3d is impossible in Minecraft, as it has been done, but I'm not about to devote that much time to it. Meticulously placing several hundreds bricks of various colours to make this is difficult enough.

Kind of the opposite on the server I use. I started making statues, and now everyone else on the serverhas started building them too, but so far only one of them is getting really good at it.
