Description
I had plenty of time this past week and elaborated on the thing I started those weeks back in my maths book. Though now, it has changed and taken a *slightly* less humanoid form. It's not my best sketch, but I sure had fun with the 8 pack. From the name, you may know that I was thinking about a blossuming flower when coming up with the shape of armour. One thing that I didn't went rather well were the chains and I had to brighten the highlights a little on PS (along with the pupils on the mask). The plates on his chest were a bit free-form and experimental as I just drew what I felt like, but when I look at it now, I would change it if I could.
Around 10 hours with HB and 6B on A3 paper.

My last still camera was a Nikon Coolpix haha. Have you ever tried film? But pencils are so versatile and less expensive if dropped.

Yes, I first used a Nikon F1, but I am so in love with digital, because I would have spent Thousand on film, but that little memory card is a blessing to me.
As for pencils, I have a tin of pencil crayons that have never seen daylight, when I find them, I will ship them to you.

Awwww dude use them! I've never really used crayons myself either - just staying with the basics of pencil on paper. I'm trying to not get any more stationery haha.

No good artist is ever satisfied with their own work, but to me, this is near perfect. Awesome work.

Haha, at least now I can tell what it is. (Kind of.)
I was just about to say how well you did the detail of the chains, then I read your description
Overall I like the design of this better than your usual stuff; it's more, let's say, elegant-looking? I think it's the change in colour tone from your usual black to white. Although at times there is a bit too much white and I don't know what I'm looking at. Maybe varying the values of juxtaposing areas would work better, 'cause not everything is the same colour, is it?

All I can say is that I was trying something new with this. Experimenting with more movement was a big influence on the shape. The chains, well I only coloured the highlights white on PS because they couldn't be erased. Thanks for the feedback as always.

I'd call that pretty darned good if you ask me.
I can definitely see the flower influence at the base. And I really like the shape of the chest armor, collar piece, and the hood. And amazing job on the shading too!
