My art teacher regarded her face as unflattering, yet striking.The expression on her face sums up how I've been feeling lately. That is, tired. Not physically, but mentally and spiritually. The world is beautiful. Yet we're constantly keeping our guard up and hiding behind cultural norms. There's a great sense of unfulfillment.
This is the largest painting I've done in years.
20 hours. Acrylic on 40" by 30" canvas.

I thought I recognized this art! I saw it at Media Design School during their open-day.
I think they said it was painted by a lecturer, but I just read you're a student there! How do you like the Game Art degree?
I'm going there to study the Art and Design degree. Its kind of unreal to see your work in person. Small world... but I really admired it and was determined to find the artist.

Nah, I've spent a few years studying in other places (science) and have spent some time working, so not quite straight out of highschool!
Glad to hear you're enjoying it! They said the Game Art degree contained more concept art, but I've decided to go with art and design anyway

You did an amazing job of capturing a sense of struggle in her eyes. The painting makes me sad.... but in a good way. I love the color palette you went with, the cool blues and greens with the warm, fiery reds to contrast. Beautiful.

I mean that you were able to make me feel a bit of sadness through your work. I felt sympathy for the subject. I think it's a very special gift certain artists have, being able to bring out emotions in others besides superficial ones. It's a superpower that must be used with care

Very cool colors. The white part of the headress seems moth-like. And the whole headdress reminds me of Egyptian ones, i think the shapes are similar.
