No, this isn't because of Mass Effect 3, this is because of other things, such as the online pass, butchering of companies (Pandemic anyone?) and just being douchebags in general.Electronic Arts may make good games but they're evil, even worse than Activision.

But the worst part of EA?
They make their employees work from 48 hours a week (2 days) to 85 hours a week (3 days a week and 11 extra hours) and they don't give them any overtime, compensation time, not even a sick or vacation leave!
Basically, they worked their employees to the brink of exhaustion and sickness, and they don't even get paid!
To quote an NPC from Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 3: Night of the Quinkan (One of EA's FEW good games along with the rest of its series.) "This place ain't half bad. It's THREE QUARTERS BAD!"

Eidos is also VERY evil. They fired a bunch a of employes after Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness came out because the game was rushed & it wasn't finished but they still put a lot of work & effort into it. But Eidos is just like EA "It's just a stupid game." It isn't "just stupid game", people spent days working on it, people love playing the games.... Game companies are just douchebags in general.
EA & Eidos never gave two fucks about how the gamers felt.
