Have you been bullied? Just asking honestly. Your lack of empathy/sympathy suggests you haven't been, which makes you lucky, or unlucky in terms of life experiences. I'm not going to attack you but I'll just leave you with this: I was bullied, because of whatever differences, most likely my mental disability, and I feel more experienced in life because of it, whether for better or worse.

I know this is old and I'm not defending his victim blaming or anything but actually, I think a lot of bully victims lose empathy because they disconnect themselves from others due to the mistrust and trauma from the incident. Not really arguing anything there, just thought it was interesting.

I remember the guy who was my classmate about 3-4 years ago, and nobody in my class ever liked him. At first I was feeling sorry for him being pushed around by others, but later he came to conclusion that I must be too shy and weak to stand up for myself because I never really talked to anyone, and started bad-mouthing and spreading gossips about me. He told me I am retarded

Actually I quiteΒ know that you have to stand up for yourself also. ButΒ sadly,Β some people can't.Β When people are bullied, they are to afraid and scared to stand up for themselves. Some people just can't do that. When I was 7, I got bullied all the time. But I couldn't stand up for myself either. I understand what your trying to say, but still, bullying is bad. Cyber bullying is illegal. But it's ok if you don't if I get bullied because I don't know you. So it's not a big deal.

half agree Β and half don't. sometimes sticking up for yourself works but in other times like what happened to me it doesn't, it only made things worse because they loved getting a reaction out of me. Bullies thrive for the reaction most of the time so sometimes if you stand up for yourself you're only giving them what they want. The best thing to do with bullies is ignore them, fuck them! they wanna be dicks to ya so they can just screw off they start shit you walk away. Then the bully gets to be upset they couldn't get a reaction.

How about being in a situation where you can't? Say the police are bullying you, adult authorities are bullying you, or mass amounts of people are harassing you and no one listens? It's not always that black and white for people.

I used to have a girl who was constantly mean to me whether it be punching, hitting, saying spiteful things.
I finally broke when she walked up to me in class and sprayed lysol in my eyes.
I took that can and broke it against her skull.

Yes. Multiple times. I lived in an abusive household and was constantly bullied at school. It only stopped when I stood up for myself.
