I wonder why I don't get fame and reconization as I should.I have my guitar.
I have my band.
I have my singer.
I even have my own lyrics!
I've made 20 songs by now and they all good.
I won in some contest and They played it the radio once.
they told me that i'll be A huge success... It was a year ago - 12 months!
long time for waiting to be that someone I always wanted.
I'm still playing for my own shadow, where did i go wrong?
I guess that good guys finish last, that's what mom always says.
I just hope to be someone because I know I'm good.
I'll keep on trying and I won't give up.
Inside of me I know I'm a star on our little galaxy and someone some day will see my shine and glamour.
then, only then, i'll break all the barriers and i'll stop playing for my own shadow.
then, i'll get Fame!

I took this shot couple years back.
I know there are alot of great artists, great photographers and amazing people here that dream of this fame and glory.
Don't give up!
try again and again.
if you believe in yourself than you'll succeed!

As for waiting and working for fame - I've been playing the bass for almost 14 years now, been in numerous bands, recorded 5 albums so far... and it's only since recently that something has began to happen.
Be persistent in working towards achieving your goals!

I don't think I'll become a superstar - bassists are rarely famous and moreover, I play genres of music that are usually appreciated by small groups of enthusiasts (progressive rock etc.) - but chances are I'll finally start making my living by playing music

Connections is key my friend. You can't expect to just write a hit and don't do anything about it! Make a EPK. Go to Sonic Bids.com Thats a good way to get your stuff out there. You need to promote. Get a myspace. Go to other shows meet other artists. Meet their managers and so on and so on. This sort of industry will push you over if you don't make yourself standout and known. If you don't people will just ignore you and go on to the next artist that stands out and make an impression.
