Thanks! Yes fawn is the English word for young deer. But it comes from “faon” directly so the origin of our word IS French. That was my thinking. We English speakers borrow from all the languages. XD We are weird that way.

Ah, Ok ;D I was thinking when reading your ref that "fawn" was an French word :') Sorry ^^ You're not weird, all languages have an origin ^^ We (french) borrow so much to the latin for example ^^
