The history behind the wii is that it was suppose to be called Revolution, but then Nintendo thought it was too strong of a name for such a small box, and since it was going to be Wi-Fi and that they wanted to target everyone, they called it Wii, as in "We" and Everyone.
I'm not kidding, it was in one of the game magazines i was reading ^_^. (i try and try to explain it to everyone, but it's still going to get made fun of)
