I'll now be accepting any questions or comments for my three characters! If I get inspired by your question or one of these three have something to say, I'll draw the response! (You guys know how this works xD )

So, instead I'd like to answer it here as an explanation, if that's alright.
Banana's still very young, but he was born with the inherent ability to sense the emotions of those around him. He's easily overwhelmed by it, but after being adopted by Shay, he's been learning to control it. He can still get overwhelmed if Shay isn't nearby, but he is progressing. So, I suppose his greatest challenge is something he's still facing.
Radish has trouble with humans, in that he doesn't like them at all. He originally grew up in a Care Home that encouraged hatred towards humans, outlining their faults and blaming them entirely for the Monsters' current situation. After being transferred to the Care Home he shared with Banana, he softened significantly but the simmering hate still hovers in the background. His greatest challenge, now that he travels with Banana and (reluctantly) Shay, is his prejudiced beliefs, especially when he's confronted time and again with evidence to the contrary of said beliefs.
Shay has faced many, many struggles in her lifetime, but the greatest was what got her traveling through the multiverse in the first place. After a complicated series of events, Shay's original world was fractured across time and space. Ever curious, she made the mistake of investigating one of these fractures as a means of escaping the flux-infused (magic that's gone terribly awry) landscape of her homeland. She was pulled into the fracture as the world struggled to heal itself, catapulting her into alternate realities. She eventually learned how to recognize such fractures and how to use them (somewhat), but she is forever removed from her original world despite her best efforts to return. Her greatest challenge is that she's lost her home--not just the place but also the sense of it--and she's been traveling near-endlessly in search of that feeling again.
