To purchase this image as an exclusive limited edition print please visit my website @ WWW.NATEZEMAN.COMWhen we were in homer we arranged to have a small boat take us out into Kachemak Bay to try to see some puffins. We found some after a short while but photographing them was near impossible. The waves were rough this day.. the boat was rocking up and down wildly and the puffins too were going up and down with the waves. Needless to say it made for very tricky shooting conditions.

The fact that it was tricky only makes this beautiful shot more worthwhile. The action in the image is great and the puffin itself is well-exposed, sharp, and captured at just the right moment. It would perhaps be nice with a little more room in front of the bird (for it to 'fly into', so to speak), but that's a minor nit-pick.
