This is amazing, the contrast between the blue and dull bark is incredible!

Such a beautiful composition. How the blue shines out so strong and makes a great contrast to the dead wood it sits on.
Wished to have your patience to get such wonderful shots.
Cheers GiZ

I've been enjoying your gallery the past couple of days, and HAD to comment on this one. I love the color contrasts you've captured here. I love seeing a photographer who knows and loves their passion so well that their photographs either seem to be or are just effortless. Thank you for being such an inspiration!

Once again, wonderful contrast! This is a lot more calming than your cardinal photograph due to the blue, grey colours.

The reason this is such a amazing shot is the contrast and the precision you took into taking it! Breathtaking imagery.

I live in Montana, less than an hour from Yellowstone. Last summer, my family was visiting, and we saw a black bear and two cubs in a clearing off the road, and everyone around us were snapping pictures and staring.
I saw a mountain bluebird on a post across the road, and stared at it in amazement for 10-plus minutes. I missed the bears, but the bird was spectacular.
This beautiful shot reminds me of that moment perfectly, thank you.

I remember when i first saw a bluebird,i was 14 years old and i actually pointed at it and asked my mom if they really existed
We donΒ΄t have bluebirds in Iceland so it really surprised me to see a bird that looked as if taken straight from a disney movie.... still feels weird to see a live one
Beautiful photo and the brown blur behind the bird accentuate the strong blue color quite nicely
