This is a pen sketch from my sketch notebook. Most of my drawing time is spent doing doodles and sketches that no one usually gets to see. And that's ok because most are not much to look at. But some people (including myself) enjoy seeing the process that an artist takes to come up with a finished piece. So that's why I'm putting this up.I always sketch in pen, keeps me loose. Just wish that I would stay as loose when I go to a final rendition. This sketch took a few minutes. I haven't followed up to do anything else with it.

A few...a few....minutes!? Good Lord, *bows and kisses feet*, I am not worthy. I swear, the talent really shows whenever you look at this piece, but then saying the word "minutes" in terms of the time it took to create even half of this, let alone all of it, is just astounding. Hopefully one day I can aspire to be as good as you are...hopefully.

I'm not to sure about that head still. If I can come up with something else for his nuggin it could become more.
Maybe more squid like, right now that body couldn't support that head.
That's the good thing about pen sketches they usually scan alright. Or at least require less corrections to be seen.

Hey i like the fantasy aspect of the creature he is some robotic alien dude, human anatomy may not apply. Hes kind of retro with a contempoary comic book slant. I say some times we need to push the bondries and not be so held down by reality. I think its a very powerful image so render it DANG it!!

I will do what i can, but i promise i can not make. Hey i gotta a started short that i did for my Ani-class and i think i might submit it to a festival. Its not great nor finished but one must toss in his hat at some point right. so would you mind taking a peek at it for some crit if i where to e-mail you a .swf?
