This will be very helpful with making my simple cosplay of Armada Red Alert for Metrocon this year (which is in 9 days.) Once Metro is over with, then I'll get a lot more done with him by reusing this tutorial. :3

That's wonderful to hear that some folks are getting use out of it!
It's so good to hear my one and only tutorial is actually useful. I've been thinking of creating other, more detail tutorials about TF costuming (like a whole tutorial on picking your character, a whole tutorial on materials, etc.).

Unfortunately, I didnt find any illustration paper, but went with fun foam instead. I got half of the supplies today, and going to go and get the rest of the supplies tomorrow once my mom gets home from work and get started working on it. Tonight is for planning the cosplay all out, once again. XD I'm making sure that I have enough supplies to make the cosplay outfit.
I know, another DA member already gave me the link to that site and it's been helpful as well. :3 That's where I found out about using fun foam for cosplays.

I bet there is at least one picture somewhere... The problem is finding it. Of course, I think it might be smarter to just: a) see if there are any pictures readily available of the doors of his alt-mode, b) base it on what a car door looks like (I mean, you just need like, a handle, perhaps a cupholder (lawl), door lock, etc. or c) keep it simple and design your own

You can rig it as a backback - adjustable loops/straps that you can slide it on/off with (use strings, and find and adjustable knot online if you don't know any). Or you could use cardboard like my Blackout/Grindor cosplay, but I don't think that'd look good if your just doing tha' door wings...
Last resort might be to stick it to some clothing...

I decided to make a full-body Soundwave costume.
Oh man...
I'm already doing all my measurements.
And making my self-esteem go PLOP.

These are all self measurements btw, so I don't know if it's accurate...BUT STILL.

Aww, don't let it get you too down. There is a healthy amount of self-critisism, and then there's just depression. Maybe you could use this to encourage yourself to get a body shape you want? Or, I think you can make a good Souindwave cosplay that fit you. All of us humans have funny proportions compared to Transformers anyways, so I don't think weight is too big of an issue. Use this to your advantage!
