excellent theme, just discovered now & it's awesome, simple and minimalistic

just what i'm looking for!

i also tried your pix_vs dark theme, though i prefer
your light theme because of background-font mismatch

e.g. like im making visual studio proj. its hard to read everything in property window

THANKS A LOT!!!
hope you continue to create awesome themes like these

I love the theme, perfect to ring in the new year but I must ask, if you get around to responding to this, what do I do with the taskpane Bitmap images?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

natyusha In reply to TheLeafhopper [2014-02-13 07:56:40 +0000 UTC]

they are for people who want to manually add them via resource editing. there used to be a taskpane changer app on da that would do it for you but i think it got removed.

So I tried replacing the explorerframe.dll, however upon reboot I got an error saying something along the lines of the file not being supported by windows or is corrupt. I'm using Windows 7 32-bit, might that be the problem?

How do I install this, do I just drop the 32 bit explorerframe.dll into C:/Windows/System32/explorerframe.dll and drop the 64 bit into C:/Windows/SysWoW64/explorerframe.dll ?

natyusha In reply to Dokkor [2013-10-30 07:21:31 +0000 UTC]

i need to re upload this sometime so it is more clear but i named the folders so that the one called 32 contains the 64bit dll that goes into system32. i went by folder name and not bit which is somewhat confusing

Are you still planning to make light scrollbars for this? I notice it's on the to-do list but you also mention you most likely won't be updating it.

Windows isn't letting me replace the file or change permissions to allow all users to edit the area despite my being administrator. Frustrating...ah well, I'll get it working eventually, I guess.

natyusha In reply to MKC7162387 [2013-02-19 14:23:07 +0000 UTC]

a couple people seem to have some problems replacing the file. usually after changing the permissions i kill the explorer.exe process and dwm ect. then i copy the files over via command line. that method has always worked for me but again it is possible that i uploaded the wrong files although i doubt it.

Hey, really like it tho, I cant seem to replace the ExplorerFrame.dll in the system32 folder, on the sysWOW64 one I did it find, but on the 32 it just wont work even after I took ownership and changed it to ExplorerFrame.bak/.old.dll :\

Hi there. Nice theme, but I have two questions. First, how do you get your Windows Explorer to look like that? Mine looks like this:

[link]

Also, the font you use does not display many characters on my computer, even simple ones like an apostrophe. Japanese characters in Explorer are also just squares, like this:

[link]

Sorry for the long posts, but is there any way to fix these?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

natyusha In reply to duuuuudley [2012-12-07 01:35:10 +0000 UTC]

my explorer has the titlebar hidden via autohotkey/bug.n and the tabs are from qttabbar

i don't know what is wrong with your fonts/linking/fallback

Wonderful theme, but can you give instructions on installing the explorerframe.dll? I replaced both the 32 and 64wow and have failed miserably.. ending up having to system restore due to an error in loading the explorer.exe My os is wins 7 64bit sp1

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

natyusha In reply to Obeythe10 [2012-11-01 08:47:09 +0000 UTC]

other than replacing the dlls i don't know what to say.

maybe do it with a program like replacer if you are not comfortable with shutting down explorer.exe and then copying it through the command line or with a batch file.

there is always the chance that i put the dlls into the wrong folders when zipping them up but i most likely would have more messages about it if that was the case.

Just do what i did rename the original .dll file to something like explorerframe.bak or w/e then copy the modified one across. Windows will still work perfectly but you have to restart to use the new modified .dll

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Obeythe10 In reply to Trignite [2012-11-04 19:26:13 +0000 UTC]

I already know the steps. The problem is I have two explorerframe.dll's. A 32 bit and 64 bit..

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Trignite In reply to Obeythe10 [2012-11-04 20:41:41 +0000 UTC]

So? Rename the 32bit one to explorerframe.bak > move modified version to the direcrory > repeat for 64bit. It's not hard

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Obeythe10 In reply to Trignite [2012-11-04 22:12:20 +0000 UTC]

I DID THAT lol. I'm saying that doesn't work. It removes my explorer.exe all together and leaves me into doing a system restore. So I'm wondering if I just replace the 32 bit or just the 64 bit. Complicated stuff.

I am pretty sure you have to replace both, did you try what twnsnd said then? Just kill exporer.exe then open cmd and move the files around manually. if you don't know how to do that then use google and help command in cmd

Is there anyway of making the scrollbar lighter when you don't have your mouse over it? Its almost impossible to see where it is on my screen. The option in advanced appearance settings > scrollbar only lets me change the size.
