Description Made this by popular demand

Here's my hat for reference: [link]

PROTIP: If you need help keeping it on your head, try one of two things: bobby pins on the sides if you don't mind them showing, OR if you do, try cutting small slits parallel to the brim of the hat inside it to slide the pins into. This should keep it secure all around :3

Feel free to come to me with questions.

WANT AN OCARINA?
You can buy a nice ocarina from songbirdocarina.com for $30
that is either the fairy ocarina or the ocarina of time. They sound beautiful and work great for cosplay!

HAPPY SEWING!!!

First girl in the hat is me, second girl is ~ go give her some love

Honestly, it needs some more actual photographs of the fabric cutting and what the actual cutouts should look like. I didn't fallow any of that at all.

is there any way to make it so that the seam does not show on the top of the hat?

It should work out so your seam is on bottom.

Thank you so much! I've been looking to buy one but they all are extremely cheap looking and lame. I pretty sure with the help of your tutorial I can make a much better one on my own! Thank you again!

Hi! Sorry to bother, but I have a doubt. The triangle drawn on the picture os the the patterns, the body piece is not isosceles. Is the drawn one half of the really-to-be-cut triangle?

THANKS FOR POSTING THIS! Truly enlightening!

BTW: Would you recommend mole-skin for both the hat and the tunic?

Thank you infinitely, moleskin it shall be!
And now... to hunt down the fabric(s) and then... the hardest part; to determine which link I'm going for!

I'm torn between: Ocarina, TP, SS

This is a very good tutorial, your hat turned out well.

However, you may want to check the proportions again. Link was never very tall. For instance, at the ending of Twilight Princess you can see that both Midna and Zelda tower over him, I'm saying this because you made a TP hat after all. He couldn't have been more than 5"6 or 5"7 (as an estimate).

Just a suggestion.

I always thought he was obnoxiously short. Like. 4'7" and everybody else was just average height xD

I have one question though. Could you make a "Toon" Link hat from this tutorial? Would you just shorten it?
Thank you so much!

I'd just shorten it for him, yes. Otherwise I bet it'd be just like the OoT Link~
