Description
Here begins the series of tech files related to my own story lore of pokemon hunter (theres seriously a backstory since the first animation I made).a Bio-science and technological dev company call "Bio Dynamics" are involved in the further development and improvement of pokemon and the technology that was developed around them.
This is one of their prototype items (do note I use item, instead of weapon) they have developed.
the Pokeball Beam Concentrator System or PBCs is one of their successful attempts in miniaturizing their technology in increasing the power and range of the pokeball anti-matter beam.
This weapon will make a cameo in pokemon hunter2 along with some more techs Bio dynamics had developed.
Authors note: being really engross in the series "Fringe" I totally like the company name "Massive dynamic" hence I took a spin on the name.

Hey, that last part sounds a lot like Team Snaggem' from Pokemon Colosseum and XD Gale of Darkness (Stadium 3 & 4)! But it's a great concept- a Poke-rifle! (please excuse my re-naming of your work.)

Where's the silencer? C'mon, you can't assassinate a world leader with a mudkip unless you have a silencer!

theres no need for any silencer cause it a device that amplifies the strength and frequency of the pokeball beam. you can easily send out a electrode from afar into someone's building and have it selfdestruct.

A nice twist to the concept. Maybe I'll be more interested in Pokemon if such "items" were used on the official cannon. BTW, the "item" looks extremely well done. 127% appealing to this gun-freak, I mean, weapons enthusiast.

One thing that's already obvious is that the effectiveness of the PBC depends on the Pokeball being used.
That said, the Pokeball will be the Least used and the Quick Ball will be the most frequently used by accurate experts who want to catch non-legendaries flawlessly on the first shot.

If pokemon had a more realistic setting this is how guns would look.
And I would love to own one.
Awesome design.

This is cool, can't wait to see the next schematic. I came up with something similar, it was a high tec wrist-mounted slingshot that would shoot pokeballs at pokemon from a moderate distance but with extreme force. It was used by the bad guys to weaken a pokemon and capture it in one smooth motion.
Could this rifle be used to redistribute wild pokemon from far distances? like say you try to catpure a pissed off charizard from far away without damaging it first, then aim the gun at a group of enemies that are in the opposite direction from where the charizard was. Assuming the charizard isn't caught, would it pop out of the pokeball right where the sniper is, or would the beam that returns it be shot out of the barrel and have the charizard released at the enemy group location? O:

assuming the wild charizard dosent burst out of the pokeball upon capture, destroying the rifle in the process.

ah, I guess the pokeball would brake if it wasn't captured, which is why you lose one if it fails in the game. I was thinking more along the lines of the show where if a capture fails the pokemon is released with the pokeball still in tact. coolness, thanks for answering my question.

Well with a scope like that you would be able to shoot at least 5 to 10 miles.
