Hm, that's a very intersting technique and I love your animation style. I'm a Flash animator by myself, and I'd love to give fullbody anims a try.
Could you give me more details on how to do all this expression sheet ? You draw the head base firstwith and without the hat, and then draw the face ?
If you have skype it would be fun talking MH and anim together ? I'm Ikarhan on skype

I basically draw the face without the eyes or the mouth, maybe even the nose. then just create keyframes and draw in diff expressions in every keyframes. then hit the frames you want to show the expressions.

Oh yeah, I've done that before instead of putting them in the library, although my art didn't look nearly as well polished as yours, of course. These look great!
You can also label or name each frame, so that you don't have reference the exact frame number and can move the frames around, but it's been so long since I've done that that I don't remember the code for telling Flash to go to a certain frame within the symbol.

though thats using movieclips already and using frame instances instead to call out the frames which is too technical for animation and more for games.
