Description
This is a collab between myself and the wonderful ~sihnstarr This is a very personal and emotional piece for both of us. Alot of time and tears went into this piece, and has deep meaning for us both. The photos and words/text are by sihn, the photomanipulation is by me.I know its huge but at a smaller size it loses to much, and this piece is important to us both.
Thank you sihn for allowing me the honor of working on this project with you. It is a privilage to call you my friend.

This is more than touching. It is strong and weak and both together with so much pain and desperation. just watch the eyes of the left side face, it shoots a lighting through your heart, doesnt it. This is well done. A perfect composition, going deep and honest.

Absolutely love it...so much depth and emotion in all aspects. Although I have to say that the staples in the last panel just don't seem right...they just stood out to me. Still look great though. Otherwise the whole thing is awsome...easily a fav!

i look upon all of these comments and my tears well up to the point where it is difficult to type...and then, i see our work on the main page as well, due to the fact that so many have made this one of their favorites...
those that look upon our work may not know the story behind this expression...they may not even be able to figure it out from reading the words...but, we have touched a nerve, darling...and the scars that i wear on the bottoms of my feet i caress with both pride and ache...they will be with me until i die...as will this memory...

I was trying to think of something to say about this, something that I might be able to get across in such a way that was easy to put into words, but there really are no words for something like this. I know the feeling that I see in this work. It's pervasive. I was there, once, and I survived. I don't much believe in hope, but I do hope that the both of you are able to step away from what you are going through, or have been through, and see that there is more there, more to the both of you than what you think there is, more than what there is now, much more. I'm going to stop here because if I don't I'll end up sounding like a self-righteous idiot. I just wanted to say thanks.

Wow... you both did an awesome and very sensible job here. I can see why it means so much to you... it is touching, and gripping, to the extreme. The sadness is overwhelming... the wonderful and sensible work on the face, both times it is shown, on the eyes especially, shows the grief, and pain... one can empathize with the poor creature.
Besides from the texturing, which is unmatchable, the words add very much. Felt like this for a while recently, and hmmm... about the tears... sad to read (or so I take from it) you both have experienced such stuff, too.
