I decided to develop an idea I had back in 2020-2021 = "what if Yumi was evil?" .... So I wondered how would Star backstory change in such scenario? I took this occasion for changing Star's design a bit as well .... Enjoy!

Zexal I
-Star arrives from Astral wolrd on Earth to help Astral retrieve the Number cards and his memories; however during her first encounter with Yuma where she offers to give him the Number cards that she retrieved, she wanted to duel him first in order to test his capabilities; after that she decided to enroll as a student to Yuma´s school to check after Astral and made sure that Yuma didn't do anything that could compromise Astral; she also enrolled at the WDC to continue on her mission, but Mr. Heartleand disqulifies her with the excuse that she was using banned cards in her duels in order to get rid of the threat that Star represented as a being from another world;
-when the WDC reaches its end, she follows Kotori inside Heartland Tower in order to help Yuma and Astral who were captured by Dr. Faker;
-Star decides to use her powers to try and free Astral from the cannonsphere (I don't how it's called sorry) after Yuma's ejection, but before she's able to do anything, she's stopped by the appearence of girl who presents her as a Barian and who challenged her in a duel; Star is unable to see the Barian's face during their fight which hasn't a real winner because both of them had to retreat after Vector/Dr. Faker's defeat to escape from the collapse of Hertland Tower;

Zexal II
-like Astral she doesn't really trust Rei Shingetsu and tries to warn Yuma to be careful on who he chooses to trust, but soon forgets about this "threat" when Polaris shows up and introduced herself to the crew;
-Star is shocked to discover that the gentle girl Polaris that she once knew was reincarnaited as a Barian and started to reasearch her past story through history books for an answer, not being able to discover anything in the end;
-on Sargasso she faces Polaris with the purpose to understand what happened to her, but soon realizes that Polaris didn't remember a single thing about her past as a human, even though she seemed to show a certain attachment towards Yuma and her as Polaris was rooting for the both of them during the whole battle even if she was their enemy;
-Star starts to feel dizzy having headaches most of the time after the awaken of Don Thousand;
-the revelation of the Mythirian numbers opened Star's eyes and made her realize that all Barian Emperors were once humans and later possibly got reincarnated as Barians and she started to fear that it was do to her father's doing even though she knew that he was defeated and sealed in the Barian ocean by Astral; her suppositions are confirmed by Astral later on as the Mythirian numbers collected by them were revealing him the truth behind the different Barian Emperors; Astral also acquires the memories who revealed him Star's true identity and the fact that she betrayed her father because she was in love with him;
-during the quest for Polaris's Mythirian number – last ruins that the group visits -,Yuma, Star and Astral find themselves facing the guardian of the Mythirian number; Star recognized him as someone that she already met in the past and insists to duel him in the place of Yuma; however Star loses to the guardian and and she's crystalized in front of Yuma and Astral; the two are reached by Polaris and Kotori, the latter telling Yuma and Astral to not attack Polaris as a payback for the fact that Polaris helped her navigating the ruins – she was divided from them after entering the ruins covered in ice and snow as the floor under their feet just broke and made them fall far in the depths of the ruins/palace; understanding what happened to Star, Polaris gets mad at the guardian for hurting her; at this point the guardian invites both Yuma and Polaris to challenge him in order to free Star and retrieve the number card; Yuma and Polaris accept and they team up together sharing their life points; the duel appears to be a challenge especially for Polaris, since to N. 76's effect doesn't allow her to attack the monster from the moment that the attribute of Polaris´s monsters is light just like N. 76;
-during their duel the guardian tells them the legend of the ruins: a story of a lonely princess who wanted to avenge her twin brother's dead; the princess eventually got her revenge by killing the one who she thinks was responsable for her suffrance in life only to die in the process as well; the story made question Astral if the legend was talking about Polaris and possibly Yuma as the two share an identical face and no explanation was given for such weirdness till then, but also made him wonder why Polaris was reincarnated as a Barian and separeted from Yuma if that was the case;
-during the duel Polaris also starts to feel dizzy and begins to slowly regain her past memories = she realized that the affection she felt towards Yuma and Star is due to the fact that in the past she had a twin brother who looked exactly like Yuma and that Star used to protect them and that eventually she fell in love with her, but she was rejected by Star before leaving her brother and home to become Vector's wife; Astral sees the same memories through the eyes of Polaris's lost twin brother which ends up to reveal him that a fragment of himself did attach to the guy after his battle against Don Thousand and was responsabile for his illness = Astral's fragment was slowly feeding on Polaris's twin brother life in order to heal, something that Polaris didn't know about as it was kept as secret by both Star and her brother;
-eventually Yuma and Polaris manage to defeat the guardian, revealing his identity = a remnant of Polaris's twin brother who leaves the Mythirian Number to Polaris and begs Yuma to take care of "their" sister for him;
-at this point Star is freed from her crystal prison and tried to approach Polaris to make her understand that Yuma or her wouldn't abandon her this time like they did in the past – Star left Polaris to protect her twin brother who died briefly after Polaris's departure – but Polaris rejected Star's plea and apologie, telling them that nothing didn't change at all from back then: there was no way for her to become their precious person and be loved by them as one since their hearts already belong to Astral; Polaris also remembers Star that after all she was the one who rejected her feelings back in the past; in the end Polaris abandons the ruins leaving Star to pieces and Yuma confused about the fact that he might have acquired a twin sister out of nowhere;
-Star is destroyed once more the moment Astral is sent back to Astral world after the duel against Nr. 96 – she couldn´t do anything to save Astral and stressed out she blames Yuma for his loss leading Star to leave the boy; feeling guilty for Polaris's situation, Astral´s lost and her behavior towards Yuma, she decides to retreat to Astral world; however before leaving she contacts Kaito and V and explains them which move has to be made next = building an interdimensional portal to Astral world and using the coins collected through the different ruins as power material; Star told them to hurry up as she doesn't know how much time was left to live for Astral in their original world or if he was even still alive;
-in Astral world she reunites with Yuma; even though Star looks like she has given up and accepts her destiny which leads to her death, she decides to help Yuma facing Eliphas the moment she discovers that her mother Ena accepted chaos energy thorugh Yuma's touch – Yuma also tries to cheer her up teeling her that he blamed hismelf for Astral's loss as well, but that they still have the chance to save him and reconcile with Polaris if they would have worked together; during the duel with Eliphas, the latter reveals Yuma Star's true origins, but the guy swears to keep trusting Star till the end; after being able to save Astral and changed Eliphas's point of view, Star is sent back to Earth with them;
-during the last part of the series, Star agrees to reach Barian wolrd and take down her father once and for all; Yuma points out that he doesn't feel like taking down Star's parent, but she told him to not feel bad about it, because that was the right thing to do if they wanted to save the Barians Emperors;
-with the help of Yuma, Star faces in a duel Polaris trying to reason with her even if Polaris doesn't easily let go of her rage – the duel happens before Yuma, Astral, Kotori and Star reaches Barian world (after Alit's and Girag's death; Vector leaves to face Nash while Polaris wants to take down Yuma and Star); during the duel Star is able to take control over N. 76 Gradielle the Harmony Lumestra and attacked Polaris's N. 109 to unlock her true memories; discovering that Polaris felt victim to her father like the other Barian Emperors, Star feels bad an responsible for Polaris's situation – she thought that her father was permantely defeated by Astral and her in the beginning, but was a fool for not understanding that he spread and sealed part of his power in the human world as a plan to be revived in the future;
-Polaris's pain does make Star realize 1.that she has always run away from her true feelings and denied herself to love and be loved back, 2.start to question herself if what she has always felt for Astral was simply admiration since Astral was the opposite of her (Star is tainted by the chaos energy while Astral was born as a pure being) or if she truly loves him and 3.wonder how she truly feels towards Polaris;
-Yuma and Star do manage to defeat Polaris just some moments before reaching Barian world only for Polaris to lose her Barian powers;
-before Vector gets absorbed by Don Thousand, Star stops Polaris from reaching him not wanting to lose her again; Star´s action enrages Polaris;
-once Don Thousand regained most of his powers, Star decides to help Yuma, Astral and Nash to take him down once and for all - she mostly take this decision wanting to reach Polaris with her actions since words didn't reach the girl; Star sacrifices herself in the end for Polaris to understand that if she was separated from Star and her brother in the past was because they wanted her to be safe and live a happy life while now in the present if she's still alive is because she truly was important to Star (and Yuma); in the end Polaris does understand that she means a lot to Star and Yuma and that she might had misunderstood their intent;
-Thanks to Astral, who uses to the power of the Numeron Code, Star is revived and she decides to remain on Earth - even though she keeps in contact with Astral world that now accepted chaos; on Earth Star decides to live her life like she was reborn as a new person and wanting to give herself a 2nd chance to find true happiness.
