Description
Flag of the Maryland Republic, Anglo-Iberian timelineAfter the Carolina flag, I thought I'd go even more exotic and bring you this
This flag is based on the coat of arms of George Calvert, 1st Baron Baltimore, like the OTL Maryland state flag, but adapted over the years to appear more "flag-like".
The black and gold represent the Calvert family arms, and the cross botany represents the Crossland family, of Calvert's mother.

That is pretty cool. I like their current flag, and you have used that in a pleasing way.

Mayland's is one of the ugliest state flags IMO. In general they're all pretty bad, with nothing but a seal on a background color.
But this looks pretty good!

Thanks yeah it's still fairly ugly IMO, but the real life flag doesn't give me a hell of a lot to work with, lol

Very nice, Maryland is one of the few states with a decent flag.

Ahh you just love it 'cos it's the only one based on English heraldry...

Well that would explain why the only good American Flag is the Hawaiian one.

Oh I wasn't saying a good liking of English symbolism and heraldry was a bad thing, I thoroughly approve

Well it is a lot better than the seal on blue most states seem to think is ok.
