Flag of the Maryland Republic, Anglo-Iberian timeline
After the Carolina flag, I thought I'd go even more exotic and bring you this
This flag is based on the coat of arms of George Calvert, 1st Baron Baltimore, like the OTL Maryland state flag, but adapted over the years to appear more "flag-like".
The black and gold represent the Calvert family arms, and the cross botany represents the Crossland family, of Calvert's mother.

Mayland's is one of the ugliest state flags IMO. In general they're all pretty bad, with nothing but a seal on a background color.
But this looks pretty good!
