I filled out my own character age progression chart, and for these past two days I've been drawing Nero. ^_^

So you may notice that he doesn't change very much. As an infant, his eyes were a solid color. And believe it or not, all of the dragons in my world are born with eyes like that. It isn't until the first 5 months of life that the iris develops independently from the sclera. And you may also notice that Nero doesn't have any lightning bolts on his body until the adult panel.

This is not a mistake.

Some of my character's go through a change when they hit adulthood. And in Nero's case, he gained his father's lightning bolt-like markings, and his mane becomes flush with color. As an adult dragon, it is important to attract the attention of potential mates, so most of my OC's gain brilliant markings and flushed colors. But perhaps the most interesting panel in this entire thing, is the final one.

When Nero reaches the age of 75, he will go through this change. His once brilliant golden yellow scales will become dull, and the hair in his mane will begin to fade to a near white.
