Description
An illustration for the final chapter of A Wandering Heart , in which Janken uses his li'l sis Sage as a lap warmer. Actually, in the story he had a blanket wrapped around himself 'cause he was really cold, but it's cuter to show him cuddling her.The characters, in order of age or counterclockwise from upper right: Red, Janken, Sage, and Poncle.
Fullview is original resolution, so you can see how splitty my brush pen was.

Oh, you make baby Fraggles so cute. Wish they would have included some in Fraggle Rock episodes(other than just the intro scene). A Fraggle child or baby wouldn't have been impossible, since they could make Doozers work beautifully.
BTW, how old would you say Sage & Poncle are in this drawing?

I also wish they'd shown baby Fraggles. There were also only a very few children. Makes you wonder about their birthrate. Has something disrupted their breeding cycle? Maybe the presence of Canadian cameramen had an inhibiting effect?
This takes place one and three-quarters years after Janken left with Cantus, IIRC, so that would be Poncle's age. Sage is about eight or nine years old. Not sure exactly old, as Fraggles don't pay much attention to years and don't associate birthdays with age.

Maybe it was the "working" environment on the set that disrupted it. After all, we saw more Doozer kids and babies than we did Fraggle babies or kids, that's for sure.
Yeah, I know, but they still like to throw some pretty wild birthday parties.
But thanks for posting an idea of their age to this silly creature, was curious.

Heh, after Poncle was born and Red recovered she probably threw a party to celebrate Poncle's birth, and the fact that Red survived it!

Yeah. Can't go wrong with sibling (Janken & Sage) or parent-child (Red & Poncle) love. Perhaps Sage's parents Boober & Mokey, Scooter--in a breif visit to the Fraggles--Janken's papa Wembley, & Poncle's daddy Gobo are off-panel taking the photos with the Fraggle equivalent to a camera?

*chuckle* Fraggles don't have cameras, and Scooter isn't in this scene--Janken wasn't about to bring a tenderfoot into the caves in winter, not to mention that this trip wasn't planned--but you're onto something with the picture. Mokey might have warmed up her paints (which would be frozen; it gets cooold in winter) and painted this picture.

heh, i was just trying to get everyone who's in the family to be mentioned (scooter included due to his & janken's relationship), but you're right, perhaps mokey did paint this pic & if she had, it is beautifully rendered.

I want to have Scooter visit the Rock, but I haven't been able to come up with a decent story for it.
I imagine Janken would insist on having a picture of Scooter next to Gobo. It would drive home the point that Scooter does look half-Fraggle.
