By the way, did anyone catch last week's episode of The Simpsons? Marge drew the "Sad Girl" comic with Sharpies. And it featured a guest appearance by Alison Bechdel, a cartoonist/storyteller I have greatly admired for longer than many of you have been alive.
Anyhow! The title of this here comic comes from an episode of Darkwing Duck titled In Like Blunt. Darkwing has been trying to impress famous agent Derek Blunt (his universe's version of James Bond) with all his high-tech crimefighting technology, including a gigantic map with flashing lights and stuff. Blunt...draws on it. Darkwing's reaction is priceless. See for yourself .

Springtraps expressions are just pure gold, especially in the second and fourth panel. And he's doing the best thing by covering up the ice-cream 'server'. Even though I'm not sure who Baby would scoop up with that thing - maybe Plushtrap? She would be small enough to fit inside the belly.

I just had a realization...Springtrap is the only adult here...the Puppet is said to be what...14 in this cannon? The rest are younger spirits and nightmares created by a younger spirit. Springtrap is the only adult, and he's an awful person but...part of him IS starting to come around. Why would the man who lived before climbing into that suit care if the nightmares built snatchy robots? He probably would have thought it was funny. But here Springtrap is, being a 'responsible adult', and censoring the things they don't need to know about. Plushy's been a good influence on him, and Puppet and he make great foils for eachother. I love the slow but subtly visible character progression that doesn't redefine the characters, but does let them grow and change in tangible, very realistic, very touching ways.

To be fair, its not a thing typically taught in high school English...you mostly get basic punctuation and and introduction to creative, essay, and prose writing styles. College English courses vary...you get some in almost every degree, but if you're taking business types of courses you'll wind up with professional email and essay writing. Foil characters, character growth, dynamic situations...those kinds of things you need to either A: take a post secondary creative writing course, or B: be lucky enough to run across the definition in your random literary wanderings.
