Description I decided to do the influence map thing a second time, this time specifically about my tabletop RPG influences.

Palladium was where I got started in the hobby (with Robotech and then Rifts). We had a lot of fun with it back in the day, but these days it influences me more in terms of what not to do.

Back in like 1994 Werewolf: The Apocalypse really challenged my ideas about what RPGs could be. Today I've mostly lost interest in World of Darkness in general, but the barriers it helped break down are very important.

F.E.A.R. is one of the major Japanese tabletop RPG publishers, and one of the first and most flagrant in terms of putting crazy anime/manga stuff into games.

Admittedly I got started with AD&D (My mother was an avid player, so when she stopped she handed me all her old books and dice and taught me to play) but Palladium was my second RPG. Tho admittedly I got started on "TMNT and Other Strangeness" and only later discovered Robotech (I played Rifts, but learned to dislike it very quickly).

Still, I hadn't heard of a couple of these RPGs. Might have to look for them... ^_^

Oh, I could go on for *days* about awesome yet obscure RPGs.

As could I. And there were a few there I actually hadn't seen... but admittedly I'm the only person I know who owns BOTH versions of the Albedo RPG.
