Description This is a drawing of Hamlet I did a really long time ago. It was edited in photoshop 7.0 over a drawing done with prisma pencils and water colour pencils on watercolour paper.

Gorgeous picture! Is this any particular actor as Hamlet, or just your interpretation of him? Either way, stunning!

I'm presently working on a series of pencil drawing illustrating twelve of my favorite Shakepeare work. I've been thinking of the proper expression to fix with the complex charactor of Hamlet. With this work, You have truly given me inspiration. Nice work and thanks. Zootweek

NelyanaPhonexia In reply to Lorcan-Avenue [2010-06-19 03:34:38 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. Someone else already posted that. Apparently my work was used on some children's book that I've never seen. The previous poster wouldn't give me any information on that book, so if you could, that would be most helpful. Thanks.

Lorcan-Avenue In reply to NelyanaPhonexia [2010-06-19 15:26:44 +0000 UTC]

ok sure. well it is a book from 'the shakespeare collection'. it was written by Anthony Masters and it says the illustration on the cover and the ones inside were done by Stephen Player.it also says it was published in 2000. it says on your thing you posted it in 2004. did you draw it earlier? also your's is a little darker but apart from that the illustration is exactly the same. i really hope they havent stolen from you. i hope that helped. maybe you can contact them.

NelyanaPhonexia In reply to Lorcan-Avenue [2010-07-26 17:48:26 +0000 UTC]

thank you so much! I did draw it earlier! I would say that it was completed around 1999. Maybe earlier. I'm going to do some research to see what happened. I did this for an art class when I was in school back in the day. I hope something didn't happen with it there. Otherwise I may be at a complete loss.

thats okay. i really hope you find out what happened and everything! stealing art is terrible so i hope it will all be okay, especially since it looks like you put a lot of work into it.

Lovely depiction of Hamlet here. I really like his strong facial features and those eyes - looks as though he could deliver his powerful monologues really well. owo Great stuff!

This really shows a lot of discipline and skill...which would mean nothing if you didn't have a good plan/concept in mind but you did. The two in combination is a real rarity, one that I hope someday I can achieve. This is really great work.

NelyanaPhonexia In reply to tinytank1989 [2008-06-10 20:53:11 +0000 UTC]

I'm assuming you are a student using this for a presentation on Hamlet? I would be glad to share my work with you. But please give me credit where it is due. If you plan to publish the presentation (I cant see where that situation would arise...) then I would have to say no, unless you plan on giving me full credit as an artist...and a whole bunch of other legal mess....but....again I'm assuming you are a student using it for a student presentation, which is perfectly fine! Hope you presentation goes well!
