Description
Done for Orbyss' alien concept design contest. The toughest part was to come up with an "alien" bauplan, make it work, have it convey emotion all the while keeping its natural history in mind.Related content

Really interesting creature, that makes perfect sense although completely alien. The eyes are wicked, and the rendering is excellent. I like this new layout idea, is it anyhting like the complete book?

the book with the snaiad animals? yup, it's going to be like this when it's done. but it's going to be a LONG time for me to do it. I drew up a phylogeny and came up with 100+ creatures I want to portray in order to render the ecology feasible. I've done 24 color plates so far (1 a day) but I need to find an accuracy/ease efficient method to render the black and white plates.
