It helps show how evolution works in the game.
Of course, we didn't show sprites of ZENFORMS we haven't officially revealed yet.
"ZENFORMS evolve differently then some other monster/pet games. All ZENFORMS come from 1 of 3 Newborns.
This simple ladder shows an example of the Newborn Rinba and how it can evolve 4 more additional stages each form with a branching evolution. Each stage is named at the bottom of the image.
Evolution can happen at any point through the ZENFORM menu by spending Skill Points (awarded for winning battles and completing quests). The higher the stage, the higher the cost.
To evolve to Child stage, the highest stat is used.
To evolve to Adolescent stage, the next highest stat (or highest) excluding the Child stat is used.
To evolve to Adult, the highest element stat is used (increased by using elemental attacks and eating fruit).
Finally, it is unknown how to evolve to the Grand Stage."

Neo dragon, how is it possible for someone to level up their zenforms water stat when there is no food that you can get from the zen shop? I have the bubble repeater and I want to know how to level it up.

Yeah I'm aware of that one. More items are in the update, and in a future update, I'll have stock change in the shops and I'll vary up the items.

And also I think as feedback that for a new update there should be a dark newborn and also 2 on 2 battles and finally something that is on your character at all times that heals them whenever they want but costs money to do so

I've an update that I'm just about to submit to Apple in the new few days that will add black ZENFORMS for Newborns to Adolescents and have a few surprises.
Adults and the Grand stages won't be out for another few Versions.

Yes, there is a mix in the adolescent stage.
But the stat only matters when you want to evolve the ZENFORM. You can have a your speed stat the highest even after you evolve into another stat.

What do you mean? It's kinda like pokemon except instead of pokeballs, you use ZENCrystals. When I do the battle video, I'll show it off.

Ah right. There is a few factors. It really is very close to pokemon. Such as a status condition, how much HP the ZENFORM has, and the type of crystal used.

This concept works. And I like how you have to spend Skill Points for it.
Um also, will different elements beat other elements... because I can see there are only four...

Yup, it's like a circle. I have a very crude image that explains it. Green stands for strong against, orange stands for weak against: [link]
Basically, it loops. So Fire > Earth > Wind > Water > Fire.

But how can Earth Zenforms defeat Wind Zenforms, when Wind ones fly.
And judging by the illustration of "Earth" being a plant, I presume Earth Zenforms will be plant like.
Unless by Earth, you also mean "Rock-ish" type Zenforms.

You could say that about anything right? Wind beats fire since it would blow it out. Wind beats water since it can cause waves and move it. Wind beats earth cause it can be like a tornado.
It's a game. And for gameplay purposes, that is the element advantage/disadvantage loop. This pic shows the same evolve of ZENFORM branched out based on the elements (the same ZENFORM can evolve into one of these depending on it's highest element stat). [link]

This is SO cool! Oh my gosh, I'm literally giddy right now. I've seen some great pokemon fangames or pokemon-esque games, but this puts them all to shame. Seriously, wow. I am insanely excited for this. Any timeframe for a beta release or something?

All the sprites are done. It was a pretty long process for sure. Took us about a year to get the sprites from commission based artists lol.

You certainly get the direction we want to go.
We are not about "catch em all" but rather get the team you want and "pwn" with it.
We haven't really discussed it, but stages 1-3 have 3 color set that you can find in the wild or edit on your team with items. You also can find the same ZENFORM in another section of the game with a different move pool. That adds a bit more reason to capture the same ZENFORMS over.

So if each zenform have 34 (If my counting is right) forms and evolutions, am I right in guessing you're only going to have a few of them in the game? even having 10 makes 340 forms. 100 - 3400 etc.

There is 3 Newborns. Each has a total of 30 possible total evolutions (including going through every stage).
If you include the Newborn into the count, and count the 3 of them and their evos, there is 93 ZENFORMS in the game.

When you say that the 3 have 30 evolutions, that makes 31 per newborn, 93 total for the newborns. So all 93 possible zenforms in the game are evolutions of those 3 newborns? there are no other species?
