Really, though. That was a good finale.

I love your comics so much. They're really funny, and the art is really great in this format (I think someone else pointed out it's kinda similar to VG Cats in that regard), but I always cringe a little when I read something like this. Avatar was a wonderful series that revolutionized american animation, and had an amazing story line, and I absolutely loved it, but Korra is not only better (and has been since inception) but A LOT better. Like way way better. I love Korra. IMO it is the greatest animated tv series ever made outside of Japan (can't knock Ghost in the Shell). I think character development is much better in Korra because it is slower and more subtle, which feels realistic to me, it's also not a one way thing, characters are constantly regressing or changing based on their experiences. I have way more thoughts on the subject, but I don't wanna clog up your comment section too much ^^. Of course all of this is just my opinion, and opinions are like butts, everyone's got one.

Well actually neodusk has a comic that i think does a fair comparison between Aang and Korra and I think is the real reason many people didn't like Korra even if it's not obvious to themselves.

One of the struggles that Korra faces is living up to the title of “Avatar” and the high expectations that naturally accompany it. This is especially tough given how she’s the Avatar coming after Aang who stopped Fire Lord Ozai’s tyranny and made a good impression on the world. Hell, she was raised from age four on nothing but this and trust me, that’s no healthy childhood.
So it astounds me to see fans do things like complain how LoK is “not ATLA” or “doesn’t live up to it’s predecessor” and the like. They’re basically mirroring the struggles Korra always faces as a character.
The Legend of Korra shouldn't have to be just like Avatar: The Last Airbender to be good. Hell, many sequels suck by falling into the trap of retreading the original and contributing little else (among other reasons but that's one big reason).

Totally agreed. I really like LOK book 1 because it was something new, though the ending was off (but I give the writers slack since they thought it would be only one season). Book 2 was rather boring, aside from the episode(s) with Wan in them. Learning about the first Avatar was incredible. The third book was on par with ATLA, even better than Book Water. I'm really looking forward to the next book and just, can't wait to see how they top it.
The fighting scene between Zaheer and Korra was remarkable and reminded me of Aang's fight with Ozai, but was great in its own way because Zaheer was nuts. And that last scene with Jinora was just so touching, and Korra's face, god I started crying.

Oh, yes, I like the show. I just think ATLA was better, but, yes, they are different shows and on some level I don't think it's always fair to compare them. But the majority opinion is often ATLA > LoK and I really liked this season, so this seemed like a fitting comic to make.
