Just a quick thing I did. I was practicing with more styles and off-model designs and this happened.I also tried redesigning Bunny Mario and Fire Mario from Super Mario Land 2. Recoloring can really help with identity

Man, the way you mimic Mario's earlier art style is outstanding! I actually like how the sleeves are a bit short, kind of reminds me of Sunshine.
I also have to say, nice redesign of Bunny and Fire Mario! Certainly does distinguish them more from each other, haha
I feel like these would fit right at home on the Game Boy Advance or Super Nintendo, to be honest

Thanks and yeah, the short sleeves were taken from Sunshine. I think they fit pretty well with a chubbier Mario in the same way Wario looks better with short sleeves.
Also, I never thought of it that way before, but it would've been cool if the GBA had a Super Mario Land Advance or something and brought back the old gameplay, in the same way Wario Land had a GBA game, then we would've finally had true Mario platformer on GBA that wasn't a remake

This game really deserves a remake! It had a lot of cool stuff that didn't make it into later Mario games plus SML2 honestly didn't age too well compared to other Mario games
