Please don't edit and/or resubmit my work on DeviantArt without asking permission first. For that matter, don't post edits on any site. Cheers.Super Mario Maker didn't have Yoshi in the original SMB game style, so figured I'd take a shot at it. This has been done before, but I don't recall seeing one that actually used two stacked tiles (16x16 squares).
The arms are orange like in Super Mario World for consistency's sake. Palette used is the same as the 1-Up Mushroom.

I'm well aware of SMBDX. The thing is, the Yoshi there has 4 colors instead of the 3 everything else has, not to mention the pose isn't suitable for Mario riding him. For some reason, the sprite is also partially outlined for no particular reason, making it stand out from the rest.
In short, I tried to stay more true to the appearance of other SMB sprites here while also providing a pose that could be used in gameplay.

Nintendo didn't bother to make a full set of every character and object? That's disappointing. Most stuff already had appropriate versions made for other games, and they were willing to redo entire 8-bit Mario games in 16-bit graphics before.

Maybe make full sprite sheet, along with Baby Yoshis and their eggs. Possibly make SMB3 version, and even SMAS SMB1, and SMB3. When SMB2 style appeared as update, Neslug or Nintendo will make SMB2 ones.
Even possibly make Kuribo's Shoe, along with High-Heel ones for SMB2 and SMW ones.

Maybe you could make an SMW-Style Goomba's Shoe, since it doesn't appear in the SMW style in Super Mario Maker...

they sould implement yoshi for original mario style also, but the arms from Yoshi on Mario Maker's Mario World have been fixed into green.
