- Olin and Barden aren't bad trainers, so Jun beating them both in double battle is super impressive in Rad's books!
- Olin's backstory; basically he is from Hearthome and was part of some hooligan teens and later started to seek out his dream of being a contestant. He also enjoys cooking/poffin-making and is very good at it, so he fed his Feebas a lot high quality dry-poffins. Not because beauty-boost but they were Feebas' favorite!

And since Olin was a known 'bad kid' he was soon accused of using some unknown drugs to boost Milotic's beauty (note that poffins are 100% okay and common hobby amongst contestants, many aren't good at it tho and usually buy the goods from different bakeries). Olin was frozen from any contests to come until the investigation is over, which broke his heart for obvious reasons. Olin left Hearthome in hopes for a job, since no one wanted to hire him in Hearthome for his teen years, looks and the drama surrounding him.
- Olin moved to Eterna with his cousin until the dust settles, but again, his looks and contest drama made finding a job impossible. Until he saw a bike shop that was looking a part-timer to help with the counter. Rad is a big fan of contests, knew who Olin is and called the whole cheating accusation bullshit, taking Olin gladly under his wing. Actually no, Rad probably was begging for Olin to work for him.
- Rad is an ex-mobster who served his time and now is a honest business man. Everyone is little afraid of him, but then again bikes are very popular, he is the only one selling/renting in the area and he is generally a nice guy until you insult his boys.
- Barden ran away from hom when he was 16 and became a street thug to survive (sounds familiar?). He tried to mug Rad one evening and naturally Rad beat the shit out of him, but offered to patch him up afterwards. Rad has a soft spot for lost kids so he kinda black mailed Barden into working for him. That was years ago and now Barden is just happy Rad gave him a new chance in life.
