This still a thing?
I would like to point out, while peeps have been doing a variation of a basic stage and 1 or 2 stage pokemon, I’d like to think that it’ll be a combination of a basic+basic stage pokemon reguardless of the stage of the parent. As they evolve they’ll be more of a combination of 1+1 stage or 2+2 stage. E.g Mudkip/Gible to Marshstomp/Gabite then Swampert/Garchomp.

Catfish, Prehistoric, and Sud Bath are my favorites. I really hope that the Pokemon series starts adding more variations and especially crossbreeds in the near future.

that would be very compicated for all 720 pokemon XD, but yes, I too would love it if they added more variations

That would be tough, but it would add a good amount of depth to the game. Teams would be even more original, strategies would have to take the variations/crossbreeds into account, and Amie would be even more amazing. (Though I think that only the Wii would be able to support it.)

The typo in this comment collided in my brain with the fact that I'm learning about the Derby database program, and produced the image of an absurdly intelligent and knowledgable Feebas, akin to the "data dog" named Ein from Cowboy Bebop.
