I'm sure I had the same expression at 12 years old seeing future Trunks for the first time too xDD
This is really cute c: I love seeing all the different OCs paired with Trunks(past and future)! When I first started my pairing I was 12 as I said and Trunks had no one so it gave more free range to give him a story. And back then, I didn't have the internet or other friends interested in the same things I was so for a few years as I continued to write my stories I had no idea others had thought to create their own characters and pairings too! And even if Mai being added to his story is "canon"(even though it makes total sense and don't get me started on my dislike for that "pairing" xD ) it's still so great to see fan pairings going strong!!
My pairing with Trunks has been around for 17 years, Mai being around for like 3 years in the new series means nothing

Wow, thanks! For me I was about 13 when I started watching the Kai dub with my sister, and Trunks defiantly stuck with me.
It wasn't until a couple years ago ago I started plugging head first at full force on ocxcanon shipping because, well, they don't have the best reputation. Looking back I think that was unfair of me to assume. I love my ocs and I'm a sucker for romance. OcxCanon is fun, it's creative, and it's expressive. People can and will ship what they want, no matter what. We can choose to embrace it or ignore it, but either way I think all ships should have their time in the sun.

That's fair, although it would be a little tough for oxcanon to only focus on single characters. Still when done right, people can really come up with a lot of cute scenario. ^^
