Redo of a piece from animegeek338From chapter 5 of her fic where Raditz, while still a brash brutish ass, is good.
The scene plays out as Goku and Raditz are heading to King Kai's planet together (not dead) in preparation for the battle with Nappa and Vegeta. Raditz and Goku tell all sorts of stories to each other about their childhoods. Raditz goes on to talk about Saiyan lineage. His own parents more specifically. In animegeek338 headcanon, the bands Raditz wears are from Bardock so he gives one to his brother. A promise he made to his mother to keep the family bond strong.
I love Raditz and I love him being a good older brother! ^^

My sister was watching scenes from a dragon ball game, I think it was Heros, or maybe FighterZ (I honestly don't remember) that brought back all sorts of villains. Like Cell, Frieza, The Ginyu Force, and so on. They brought back Nappa and I was so disappointed cause Raditz was no where is sight. Ugh!
For a major shift to form the plot of Dragon Ball Z, Raditz sure gets shafted a lot.

animegeek338 and I have actually been working on a retelling of the story. Sure it involves a fan character, but I think it really explores Raditz as a character and how much he can make an impact.
In our story it's a what if where Raditz gets a redemption (so to speak) and fights for good. But I think it'd be really cool to see Raditz even as a villain again aside from one of cameos in games. ^^

I love this fiction so much. I can't decide if I want to finish the whole thing before I post, post them by chapters, or post them by sagas. Either way, it won't be until after I've proof-read. Until that day, I look forward the seeing things like this. I love seeing Raditz more involved because there was so much potential just tossed aside.
